This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking for a flexible, part-time role within a supportive accountancy practice environment. You’ll be responsible for managing the payroll function for a wide range of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. The role also involves overseeing a small payroll team, providing support and guidance as required. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a portfolio of clients. * Supervise and support a small payroll team. * Ensure compliance with current PAYE, RTI, Auto-Enrolment, and HMRC regulations. * Liaise with clients to resolve payroll queries and provide exceptional service. * Oversee payroll year-end processes, P60s, P11Ds, and related submissions. * Work closely with partners and managers to ensure smooth departmental operations. Key Requirements: * Previous payroll management experience is essential. * Experience within an accountancy practice environment preferred but not essential. * Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. * Experience using payroll software (such as BrightPay, Sage, or similar).
